3 Steps To Completely Waste Your Life

So you've made the decision to trash your life? Excellent. You've arrived to the correct location. Whether you're still in high school or have moved on to college or even into the big wide world of business, this article will show you how to accomplish it step by step.

“An unexamined life is not worth living,” declared the renowned Greek philosopher Socrates. While this is correct, it is not the entire tale. There's a lot more to squandering your life than not looking at it. I'm sure snoozing and munching on potato chips figure into the equation somehow.

However, there are other options that would be considerably more effective. You should perfect these three till you have them down as an art form if you truly want to squander your life.

1. Allow Yourself to Fall in Love With Dreaming Rather than Acting

I'll admit it: I've been the biggest procrastinator in the world at various times in my life. I recall waiting until the night before a book report was due in third grade to really read the book. Needless to say, I failed the test since I didn't finish the book.

It was a horrible habit that would return to visit me from time to time throughout my life, typically when I was going through a difficult time.

Some individuals, on the other hand, spend their lives dreaming up great ambitions that they never get around to realizing. They're dreamers who work for a living. They've mastered the art of action-faking, in which they immerse themselves in self-help books and inspiring material, enroll in courses, and plan, plan, plan, but nothing ever happens. When we pretend to behave but don't, this is known as "action faking."

They never follow through on their intentions. They like falling in love, but they detest putting one foot in front of the other in order to make their fantasies come true.

It's simple to dream. Work is difficult.

As these people get older, they often begin to dwell on their previous successes — the little that they have — and champion them as if they were current. It's in these moments that people realize they've squandered their lives by dreaming rather than accomplishing.

2. Assuming You Can Handle All of Life's Problems on Your Own

This is another common blunder individuals make when it comes to how they approach life: they believe they can handle everything on their own.

Everything they do, from beginning a new career to raising children, is not only something they're intrinsically capable of (due to their brilliance and ability, of course), but it's also their God-given right to do so without any help. They even believe that if only someone would put them in charge, they could rule the entire American government.

These folks have no idea how to seek for assistance. As a result, they bounce from one objective to the next like a frog hopping across a lake on a succession of leaves, never finishing anything.

They're always overburdened. They're always worn out. And life would be so much easier if they would just delegate some of their responsibilities to others and confess when they are in over their heads.

But it's a matter of pride. It's understandable that admitting we can't accomplish something is difficult. But it's critical that we do so so that we may concentrate on what we're excellent at. After all, time is a limited resource.

3. Refuse to Grow and Take Responsibility

This is a huge one. Have you ever watched someone waste their life by repeating the same errors over and over? It's awful to watch. Years of my life were spent drinking a bit more than I should have.

I've seen family members waste so much time pretending to have changed when they haven't.

“This time will be different,” they promise themselves as they repeat the same error – for the ninth time — in the same manner.

I believe he was joking about how science experiments require several tests to establish a theory, but our lives aren't science experiments. We also need to be able to recognize when it's time to cut our losses and move on.

That involves taking responsibility and admitting our errors. Most importantly, it necessitates our taking ownership of things in order to mature. Otherwise, we would spend the rest of our lives trying to escape our pasts, never embracing the future.
